The credit of introducing Homoeopathy in Kerala rests with the Christian missionary in the beginning of 20th century. The Thiruvithamcore King Sri Mulam Thirunal was highly impressed upon the effective control and management of the dreadful Cholera epidemic outbreak by Homoeopathy which affected south Travancore by Homoeopathy in the year 1920.Thereafter this therapeutic system got formal recognition by a motion brought by Dr MN Pillai, member of Sri Moolam Prajasabha in the year 1928.
